In 2018, a personal project came to life. The main idea was to mix different activities in a trip. That’s why travelling to Africa was a good target. After a few researches, Tanzania was selected for the destination as this country could fit with all our expectations.

Loving the mountain environment and all kind of sport attached to it, going for a trek on the Kilimanjaro was possible there. A 6-days (5 days for the ascension and 1 day for descent) hike was then planed in a first time, arriving in the country. It was decided to go through the Machame route which is the fastest way to reach the summit at 5895m making this mountain the highest one on the African continent.

The second part of the trip was dedicated to exploration and photography in the national parks. The wildlife is very rich and the landscapes are stunning in Tanzania, it is possible to see a huge diversity of animals. We had the opportunity to visit the famous Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Tarengire parks.

In the end, after hiking and exploring, the time came to rest a little before flying back home to Europe. The last days were then spent in Zanzibar, an island pretty close to the continent where the beaches offer chilling places, perfect to complete the trip !
